City celebrates completion of new housing

Mar. 25, 2024

In a significant advancement for local housing, the city of Garland, in partnership with the Garland Housing Finance Corporation, celebrated the completion of three new single-family homes with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on March 5.

These homes, designed for multigenerational living, replace a previously vacant and deteriorated church site with modern residences featuring dual primary suites, an open-concept layout and energy-efficient appliances, including an electric vehicle charging outlet. Each home spans more than 2,200 square feet of living space, offering both comfort and practicality to its inhabitants.

Interested buyers have the opportunity to purchase these homes through a random drawing, with financing options available under the HOME Infill Grant Program, demonstrating the city’s commitment to fostering accessible, sustainable housing solutions. Prospective buyers interested in participating in the lottery can reach out to Realty Firm Global and contact Richard Fricks at 214-476-7805 or via email to richardfricks@realtyfirmglobal.com or Cindy Scholl at 214-908-0289 or by email to scholl@northdallaspremiergroup.com.
