Mayor Scott LeMay, City Council members, city staff and community members celebrated the North Garland Library’s new façade and the North Garland Shopping Center renovation with a ribbon cutting on Sept. 6.
This project is part of a larger corridor revitalization program aiming to improve the aesthetics and conditions of public and private investments in key high-visibility corridors and destinations throughout the city of Garland. The North Garland Avenue corridor revitalization project included new pedestrian lighting and bridge enhancements in the public realm, as well as landscaping, façade and signage improvements, new outdoor gathering space, public art investments and the demolition of substandard structures on private property.
