Four Garland City Council Members and a new mayor were sworn in at the May 15 regular meeting.
The Honorable Ronald Jones, former three-term mayor of Garland, swore in incoming Mayor Lori Dodson. Several of Dodson’s family members were in attendance.
Incumbents, District 1 Council Member David Gibbons and District 5 Council Member Rich Aubin were sworn in after uncontested races. Gibbons’ 
partner Mark Wilson was by his side and Aubin’s daughters were on hand for his swearing in.
Deborah Morris took the oath to serve as City Council member for District 2 with family members by her side and James Bookhout was sworn in as District 4 representative, also with family members looking on.
