The city of Garland is converting to a digital means of handling all public information requests. When the new system is launched in mid-August, requestors of public information will submit Open Records Requests through an online portal that will be located on both the City Secretary and Garland Police Department webpages.
Requests will be streamlined through JustFOIA, a new open records request management system. It will help the city simplify records request management and improve transparency by making public records more easily accessible.
