City of Garland seeks resident input

Apr. 10, 2024

The city of Garland thinks resident input is critical to a healthy and thriving community. That’s why we’re excited to announce a new and easy way for you to provide opinions about quality of life, city services and priorities for the future.

The city is partnering with the National Research Center at Polco to launch Garland’s first-ever National Community Survey. It’s open to all residents and offers both printed and digital options for completion. The survey is also available in English, Spanish and Vietnamese.

“This is an opportunity for everyone in the community to share their thoughts and shape the future of Garland,” said Mayor Scott LeMay.

If you receive a survey invitation at your home, please follow the instructions to complete it. Please also keep an eye out for an upcoming announcement with the online survey link and list of locations to pick up printed copies.

Your feedback will be used to guide the city’s upcoming strategic planning and budgeting, making sure they align with what matters most to residents. Results will not only show Garland’s strengths and opportunities for improvement but also how the city compares to similar communities.

“We strongly encourage all residents to take the survey. The more people who participate, the better data we will have to inform our decisions,” said LeMay.

Residents with questions about the survey may contact the City’s Public & Media Relations Department at 972-205-2879 or PI@GarlandTX.gov. You can also learn more about Polco and see their Privacy Policy.

All responses will remain anonymous, and the city will share results with the community once they are received.
