crimesThe Garland Police Department publishes a weekly list of crimes reported. That list provides the nature of the offenses, along with the districts in which they occurred. The city is divided into districts as indicated in the map below.

In the summary below, several of the more common types of incidents as burglary of vehicles, various thefts and criminal mischief tend to happen in larger numbers and be distributed around the city. District numbers where those occurred are not included. The more serious crimes, which include crimes against people are listed, along with the district in which they occurred.

According to the Garland Police Department website, every part of the city has a dedicated NPO and part of their job is to identify crime trends and problems as well as to formulate strategies to address the issues and execute plans to ensure that issues are dealt with.
