Jul. 21, 2021

The 16th Autumn at the Arboretum, the Southwest’s favorite fall festival, runs Sept. 18 through Oct. 31. Though the festival ends on Halloween, the Pumpkin Village remains open through Thanksgiving weekend. The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden are located at 8525 Garland Road in Dallas.

There will be more than 90,000 pumpkins, gourds and squash, hailing from THE pumpkin capital of Texas, Floydada. New this year is the location of the nationally acclaimed Pumpkin Village. It is behind the Jonsson Color Garden transformed into the theme Bugtopia.

The signature display comes alive with larger-than-life insect topiaries, fascinatingly bugged-out 20-foot-tall pumpkin houses. And, of course, a maze for younger visitors.

Special events, live music and Halloween festivities round out this favorite fall festival.

autumnAutumn at the Arboretum showcases the breathtaking colors of fall. It includes 150,000 autumn flowers accented by pumpkins, gourds and squash from Floydada. The festival features the popular Mommy and Me Mondays and Tiny Tot Tuesdays. In addition, there is a hay bale maze, a pumpkin patch with pumpkins for purchase, live music and more.

The Dallas Arboretum’s popular festival is one “the Best Fall Festivals to Celebrate the Season” by Country Living Magazine.
