“The daily news cycle and life’s latest challenges continue to take its toll on so many people and now more than ever it’s important for people to think about their mental health and wellbeing and seek out resources when they need help,” said Amanda Esquivel, Founder and Lead Therapist of Room for Change. “However, many people are unsure where to even start and we’ve created this community event to help. Whether it be finding a counselor or hospital program, screening for depression, mental illness or memory issues, the fair is a great place to get questions answered and find valuable resources.”

Becky Vance, CEO, Drug Prevention Resources, said, “According to the World Health Organization global rates of anxiety and depression increased by 25% during the first year of COVID. Our new Health & Wellness Team is proud to help shine the spotlight on the Garland community as we work together to normalize conversations around mental health.”
