Don’t miss GCT’s ‘Nunsense’

Apr. 23, 2019

Get your tickets now for Garland Civic Theatre’s production of “Nunsense,” a musical comedy with book, music and lyrics by Dan Goggin. The production will run April 25 – May 12.

The show begins when the Little Sisters of Hoboken discover that their cook, Sister Julia, Child of God, has accidentally poisoned 52 of the sisters and they are in dire need of funds for the burials.

The sisters decide that the best way to raise the money is to put on a variety show so they take over the school auditorium, which is currently set up for the 8th grade production of “Grease.”

Join Mother Superior Mary Regina, a former circus performer, Sister Mary Hubert, her dignified rival, Sister Robert Anne, a streetwise nun from Brooklyn, Sister Mary Leo, a novice ballerina and Sister Amnesia who lost her memory when a crucifix fell on her head.

Preview night is Thursday, April 25 at 7:30. Performances are April 26 – May 12 – Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $18. Special prices for groups and student rush tickets are available.

Performances are in the small theatre at the Granville Arts Center, 300 North Fifth Street in downtown Garland. Tickets are available at www.garlandartsboxoffice.com, at the box office at the Granville Arts Center or by calling 972-205-2790.
