U.S. Air Force Airman Edgar R. Gomez graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio.
The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.
Gomez is the son of Jose D. Gomez of Balch Springs and Ana G. Belmontes of Rowlett and step-son of Robert L. Reynolds of Rowlett. He is also the brother of Julio S. Belmontes.
The airman graduated in 2014 from Rowlett High School.
