Everyone had a great time Friday, May 12 at 506 Art in downtown Garland at Band Together on the Square! A talented bluegrass band called Up the Creek performed for an enthusiastic audience. With Jack Ryan on guitar, Robert May on bass, Gary Washmon on fiddle, David White on mandolin and Steve Baker on dobro, banjo and guitar, the band’s musickept the crowd entertained.
In addition to the music, there were games for the kids and representatives from the Landmark Museum to visit with attendees about the “Beyond Garland” exhibit.
Don’t miss the remaining concerts offering music on the square every other Friday evening from May through July at the Band Together on the Square Concerts.

Jesse Spradlin and Chris Raspante come together to bring you The Vintage Yell, a newly formed band whose sound can be described as soulful Americana.
June 23 – Darren Wise Empiires
Darren Wise is a Dallas-based guitarist and music director for the Drew Pearson Live television show on ABC. This NFL pregame show is based on the late-night talk show format with a live band led by Wise.
July 7 – Jimmy Wallace
Legendary guitarist Jimmy Wallace brings his electrifying sounds of Rock and R&B to Downtown Garland.
July 21 – Chaz Marie
Chaz Marie is the real deal. Her voice is a fusion of influences in country, blues, rhythm and blues and rock and roll. She delivers a powerhouse vocal performance and is a great entertainer.
July 21 – Quinten Hope
Quinten studied at UNT School of Music, which led to his first CD (Aspects of the Soul). His second CD (Start of a New Day) led to a friendship with Grammy winner Will Lee, Dan Wojciechowski and Bradley Knight. All three appeared on Quinten’s third CD (Reunion).
