At approximately 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 10, Garland police officers responded to a two vehicle crash in the 1500 block of West Buckingham Rd. Officers arrived and discovered that a motorcycle had collided with a black Chevrolet Impala.
Traffic investigators believed the motorcycle was traveling eastbound on West Buckingham Rd. and the Impala was stopped at a stop sign at Old Mill Run facing northbound. The Impala entered the intersection attempting to cross Buckingham Rd. in order to turn left when the motorcycle crashed into the driver side door.
The drivers of both vehicles were transported to the hospital where the driver of the Impala was pronounced dead. The driver of the motorcycle is in critical condition. There was a passenger in the Impala who was released at the scene with minor injuries.
The driver of the Impala has been identified as 20-year-old Leno Mora of Dallas.
