The carriage, provided by North Star Carriages of Dallas, will take patrons to downtown Garland, Ave. A at Sixth Street. This is just one block over from the revitalized downtown square. The carriage will pick them up there as well.
About 20 benefactors—both corporate and individual donors and sponsors—have made it possible for the complimentary carriage rides for “Christmas-town” patrons.
The carriage for the route to downtown will load at the intersection of 11th Street at Ave. C in Travis College Hill.
Magical Candlelight Christmas-town 2023 will feature a tour of homes in Garland’s Travis College Hill and Embree. There will also be a photo-op booth featuring Santa and Mrs. Claus, a live nativity, costumed interpreters, hot cocoa and hot dogs and other activities.
The event is funded in part by a grant from the Garland Cultural Arts Commission and the city of Garland Cultural Arts Division.
“Christmas-town” tickets are available for $20 before 4 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 7, at Eventbrite (at an increased price of $25) after 4 p.m. on the day of the event.
