A Galaxy Called Dallas in Garland is one of thousands of comic book shops celebrating Halloween ComicFest on Saturday October 29. It’s a day full of free comics, “The Greatest Halloween Costume Contest Ever,” games, activities and more for comic and Halloween fans to experience together. During Halloween ComicFest, 32 full-sized and mini comics will be available at A Galaxy Called Dallas for anyone who wants to participate.
“The comics are awesome and great for readers of all ages with kids and adult titles containing stories filled with fun, action, horror, adventure and more that help readers expand their imagination and leave them wanting to read more,” said James Pickering, owner of A Galaxy Called Dallas.
“This is the 3rd year Galaxy is celebrating Halloween ComicFest and we are excited to offer the community a fun, family-oriented event where everyone can find a comic they will enjoy. Now in its fifth year, Halloween ComicFest is also a great time for families to participate in fun activities, meet people with similar interests, and check out what Galaxy has that we can help them discover and spark a new interest in,” said Pickering.
“We at A Galaxy Called Dallas want to spread the word that comics are perfect for today’s times. Comic books continue to grow in popularity as an increasing number of popular TV shows and movies are based off comic books. Halloween ComicFest is a great opportunity for the community to join with their local comic shop for some Halloween-themed fun in addition while picking up free comics they can continue to enjoy and keep collecting.”
