A Disaster Recovery Center is open in Garland at Williams Elementary, 1821 Oldgate Lane, to provide one-on-one assistance in the wake of the May 28 straight-line wind event. Representatives from FEMA, the U.S. Small Business Administration and local disaster support organizations are available to help residents file disaster claims.
