The driver fled to the area of Sinclair and Gaston in Dallas where he exited the truck and continued fleeing on foot into a neighborhood.

The officers located the suspect hiding on top of a roof in the 11500 block of Wyatt Street. The stolen trailer and stolen furniture were recovered and returned to the owner. During the investigation, the officers discovered that the truck driven by the driver was also stolen out of Dallas.

The driver, who is identified as 54-year-old Kennedy Carter, a resident of Dallas, was arrested and charged with Theft $30,000 to $150,000, Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle, Evading Arrest and several warrants out of Dallas County, Dallas Police Department and Lancaster Police Department.
