Gay Osburn Beam, 66, died August 20, 2015 at her home in Pelham, Alabama.

Pamela Gay Beam was born to Charles and Naomi Osburn in El Dorado, Arkansas on August 23, 1948. She was a teacher of honors English for 34 years, having taught in Fort Smith, Springdale, Fayetteville and El Dorado, Arkansas. She also taught at North Garland High School in Garland. Mrs. Beam held a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville and a Master’s Degree from SMU in Dallas. She was a member of Prestonwood Baptist Church of Dallas.

Survivors include her mother, Naomi H. Osburn and her sister Rena Bussey, both of Pelham, AL., nephew Nicholas Charles Bussey of Alabaster, AL., niece, Mecca Murrah and great-nephew Cameron Chase Murrah of Vestavia, AL. and her caregivers, Caroline Chamberlain and Lacey, also of Pelham.

Graveside service will be held Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at 11:30 a.m. Evergreen Cemetery in Paris, Texas with Rev. Don Morton officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home.
