Aaron C. Butler will direct this legal drama about two Marines being court marshaled for complicity in the death of a fellow Marine at Guantanamo Bay. The two Marines’ defense attorney does not offer his best effort until a female member of the defense team pushes him. Then, during the trial, a disturbing, high-level conspiracy is uncovered, and the Marines’ code of honor is put on trial.

The story is loosely based on a courtroom experience of Sorkin’s sister, who served as a JAG lawyer in the 1980s.
