Garland Civic Theatre’s season will begin in September and the schedule is filled with “must-see” productions. Information on each show, as well as how to purchase tickets, is below. The mission of GCT is to provide high quality theatrical programs to educate, to entertain and to enrich the lives of the citizens of Garland and surrounding communities. They accomplish that mission every season. The 2022-2023 season will be no exception.
Carnival – Friday – Sunday, Sept. 9-25
A naïve French girl is infatuated with a troubled puppeteer in a traveling show in this bittersweet fairy tale.
Sleuth – Friday – Sunday, Oct. 21 – Nov. 6
Andrew Wyke lures his wife’s lover to his house and convinces him to stage a robbery of her jewelry, a proposal that sets off a surprising chain of events.
Steel Magnolias – Friday – Sunday, Dec. 2-18
Set in Truvy’s beauty salon – where all the ladies who are “anybody” come to have their hair done – Truvy and her companions navigate through life with strength and love.
A Few Good Men – Friday – Sunday, Jan. 27 – Feb. 12
Two Marines go on trial for complicity in the death of a fellow Marine at Guantanamo Bay.
Meteor Shower – Friday – Sunday, March 10-26
Corky and Norm are excited to host Gerald and Laura at their home to watch a once-in-a-lifetime meteor shower in this comedy from Steve Martin.
Snapshots – Friday – Sunday, April 28 – May 14
Surrounded by a lifetime of memories and phantoms of their former selves, Sue and Dan embark on a cerebral journey to the past.
