In a heroic act of vigilance and quick thinking, a bus driver from the Garland Independent School District rescued a female middle school student who a potentially dangerous individual was pursuing.

As the school day was coming to a close, the student was rushing toward the waiting school bus. Sensing urgency, the observant bus driver promptly closed the doors and inquired about the situation. It was then revealed that the student was being followed by a strange man in a car. The man was attempting to lure her to his vehicle.

The bus driver, without hesitation, took immediate action to ensure the student’s safety. The driver skillfully maneuvered the bus to block the perpetrator’s car within a nearby cul-de-sac, preventing his escape. While keeping the student safely on board, the driver captured a picture of the suspect’s license plate and reported it to the authorities.

After receiving the license plate number, the Garland Police Department searched and discovered that the driver was wanted in connection with a sexual assault case.
