Jan. 26, 2023

The Garland ISD Education Foundation has awarded 200 grants and scholarships to teachers and staff across the district, totaling $230,063. The grants and scholarships were awarded to a wide variety of educators, all of whom had submitted proposals outlining their ideas and plans for improving classroom lessons and furthering their education.

The recipients were thrilled at the news, knowing that these funds would allow them to bring new and innovative ideas to their classrooms and help with their college expenses. From science experiments to field trips, from new technology to classroom materials, the grants and scholarships will make a real difference in the education of students in Garland ISD.

“We are thrilled to be able to support the efforts of our educators in this way,” said Lisa Cox, President of the Garland ISD Education Foundation. “These grants and scholarships will allow teachers and staff to bring their ideas to life and make a real difference in the education of our students.”

This money will allow GISD students to participate in new and engaging lessons and activities and access new resources and technology. Teachers and staff will also benefit from the grants and scholarships, as they can bring their ideas to life and make a real difference in the education of their students.

The GISD community is grateful for the Garland ISD Education Foundation’s support and those who made this fantastic opportunity possible. The grants and scholarships will have a lasting impact on the education of students and teachers in the district.
