GISD hosts Robotics Family Expo

The GISD Robotics Family Expo allows students from across the district to test drive the latest robotic technology while learning from top Texas Instrument engineers.

Robots are STEM in action in Garland ISD. Robotics and coding help all elementary students practice critical thinking and problem-solving with the ability to create technology from scratch. Science, math, engineering, and math are essential skills needed to succeed in the modern world.

Elementary students need to engage in technology early. The GISD Robotics Family Expo allows students from across the district to test drive the latest robotic technology while learning from top Texas Instrument engineers. Students were able to interact with robots and learn the necessary skills to build and program robots using STEM skills.

We are proud for STEM to be interwoven into the science curriculum in GISD. Robotics is one area where our district is making a difference in the lives of our students.
