News from GISD: Virtual or face-to-face

Apr. 14, 2021

Garland ISD would appreciate it if parents would complete a questionnaire to let them know if they are interested in their children enrolling in a virtual school program for the 2021-2022 school year.

Also, GISD Student Services will soon take the enrollment process out to elementary campuses for evening enrolling sessions.

Details are below.

Virtual School Interest Questionnaire

GISD is returning to full on-campus face-to-face instruction in fall 2021.

In order to meet the needs of our students who are currently thriving in remote instruction, GISD is in the process of designing a possible virtual school program offering; as part of this process, we need to determine parent interest.

The launch of a virtual school program in GISD is contingent upon per student funding by the state. Learn more and take the questionnaire today!

We’re Enrolling Students Near You

Student Services, along with campus staff, will be bringing the enrollment process to you at our traveling enrollment evening sessions during April and May.

We will be making scheduled stops throughout the entire district at 27 of our elementary schools for in-person enrollment. Families can attend these sessions to get help enrolling their 3, 4 or 5-year-olds, as well as any additional new students, for the 2021-22 school year.
