This afternoon, Dec. 8, Garland police officers located and arrested Aaron Quiroz in the 500 block of Buckingham Road in Richardson.
Quiroz is currently in the Garland jail. He is charged with two counts of Aggravated Assault Against a Public Servant, Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle, Evading Arrest, and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm.
Bond has not been set at this time.

Man wanted for shooting at officers
The Garland Police Department is searching for 22-year-old Aaron Quiroz Jr. after shooting at officers late last night, Dec. 7 just after 10 p.m. The officers were investigating a report of a stolen vehicle, a blue 2005 Toyota 4Runner when the vehicle was observed in the area of North Garland Avenue and Buckingham Road.
When officers attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver, Aaron Quiroz, accelerated and began fleeing from officers. Quiroz fled into a residential area and stopped in the 900 block of Alamo. When Quiroz exited the vehicle, he began firing a gun at officers. The officers immediately took cover and did not return fire. Quiroz then fled on foot into the residential area. After conducting an extensive search, officers did not locate Quiroz.
Quiroz is described as a Hispanic male, brown hair, approximately 6 feet tall, weighing 150 pounds. He was last seen wearing a blue T-shirt and blue jeans.
An arrest warrant for Aggravated Assault Against a Public Servant has been issued for Aaron Quiroz.
The Garland Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating this dangerous person. Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Aaron Quiroz is asked to call 911 immediately.
He is considered armed and dangerous. If you see him, do not approach him.
