The Garland Police Department announced that Mr. Gerrad Kelley has been located and is deceased. We extend our deepest condolences to Mr. Kelley’s family during this difficult time.
Detectives are investigating the cause of death, but there were no apparent signs of foul play.
Garland Police are seeking the public’s assistance in locating missing person, 50-year-old Gerrad Kelley of Garland. Kelley was last seen on Saturday, June 1, just before 4 p.m. near Pleasant Valley Road and Shalimar Drive.
According to his girlfriend, Kelley was last seen in the creek area near Pleasant Valley Road and Shalimar Drive when she left to take shelter elsewhere due to the heavy rainfall. When she returned Kelley was not there, but his bicycle was in the area.
Officers arrived in the area and conducted an extensive search utilizing the DPS helicopter, Garland Fire and Rescue and the Drone Unit, but were unsuccessful in locating him
Kelley is described as a white male, 5 feet 10 inches in height, weighing approximately 140 pounds. He has brown eyes, brown hair with a medium-length grey beard. He was last seen wearing black shorts and a grey “ARMY” t-shirt.
