On Saturday, April 6, 2024, at about 230 a.m., Garland Police Department officers responded to an apartment complex in the 4200 Block of Duck Creek Drive in reference to a weapons disturbance. Garland Fire Department personnel arrived on scene and transported a victim to the hospital with minor injuries. It was discovered that another involved party was transported by private auto. GPD officers learned that at least two people were shot after a disturbance in the parking lot of the location. One person is deceased.
GPD detectives are gathering evidence, along the facts of the case, to determine exactly what happened and identify the person(s) involved.
