July 9, shortly after 3:30 a.m., the Garland Police Department responded to the report of a man bleeding in the 300 block of South Barnes Drive. Officers arrived and observed a white male victim dead in the parking lot of the apartment complex. The victim has been identified as 23-year-old Taylor Raymond Burford of Garland. Officers believed Taylor’s death could have been the result of a murder and detectives were called to investigate.
GPD detectives are investigating the death as a murder and are waiting on the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s official report for the actual cause of death.
The investigation is ongoing. Police are asking if anyone has any information about the death of Taylor Burford to call the Garland Police Department at 972-205-1667.
