Tuesday, March 14, around noon, Garland Police Department Officers observed a wanted felon, 37-year-old Manuel Acosta De La Sancha, enter a residence in the 3400 block of Hillsdale Lane. Out of an abundance of caution, the GPD SWAT team responded to the location.
On the scene, Garland PD SWAT negotiators continuously gave Manuel commands to exit the residence, to which he eventually complied.
The officers arrested De La Sancha for a felony warrant for Family Violence Assault with Previous Convictions and a felony warrant for Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child.
He is currently in the Garland Detention Center. No bond has been set for either charge.
