From Tuesday, June 7, through Tuesday, June 21, the Garland Police Department participated in a statewide added enforcement for the Operation: Slowdown campaign.
The additional enforcement resulted in the following:
208 Traffic Stops
165 Speeding Violations
82 Other Violations
66 Warnings
2 Arrests
Operation: Slowdown is a project funded through a TxDOT grant program aimed to increase effective enforcement and adjudication of traffic safety-related laws to reduce fatal and serious injury crashes.
Speeding is a 100% preventable traffic violation that can be avoided. Slow down and drive safe!
