GPD searches for hit and run driver, vehicle

The Garland Police Department is searching for a vehicle and its driver involved in an injury-hit & run crash that occurred April 10 at 4:30 p.m. GPD and the Garland Fire Department responded to a hit & run crash where a female pedestrian had been struck on North Jupiter Road near West Walnut Street.

The female subject was located and transported to the hospital where she remains with serious injuries.

Traffic investigators believe the female was crossing North Jupiter Road when she was struck in the northbound lanes by a vehicle. The vehicle involved did not stop and fled the scene, refusing to render aid.

Witnesses report the suspect vehicle as either a tan four-door passenger car or SUV.
