GSM presents Nice Work If You Can Get It!

Garland Summer Musicals presents the Gershwin comic delight Nice Work If You Can Get It! July 22-31. The setting is 1927 in the midst of bootleggers, playboys, politicians and chorus girls. Romance and mistaken identities combined with Gershwin’s amazing score produce a song and dance sensation!

Carl Hendin has just returned from the National Tour of Nice Work and will be starring in the GSM production in the role of playboy Jimmy Winter.

Others featured in the cast will be Lauren Urso as Billie Bendix; Steven Golin as Cookie McGee; Alan Hanna as Duke Mahoney; Kim Borge Swarner as Eileen Evergreen; James Williams as Senator Max Evergreen; Patty Granville as Estonia Dulworth; Rachel Reininger as Jeannie Muldoon; Aaron Gallagher as Chief Berry and Melissa Tucker as Millicent Winter. Ensemble includes: Shannon Walsh, Lori Jones, Brittany Stahl, Jill Nicholas, Caren Sharpe-Herbst, Whitnee Bomkamp, Kimberley Yoxall, Kyle Fleig, Ivan Jones, Nick Leos, Nick Chabot, Mark Quach, Isaiah Harris, Dominic Pecikonis, Kenny Questell.

Nice Work If You Can Get It will be directed by Joseph Jones and produced by Patty Granville. Set Design is by Kelly Cox, Jeff Crouse is the music director and Scott Eckert is the orchestra conductor. Choreography is by Kelly McCain and associate choreographer is Carl Hendin. Lighting design is by Susan A. White; props by Lynn Mauldin and Rebekka Koepke. Costumes are by Michael Robinson and Susie Cranford with the Dallas Costume Shoppe. Master carpenter is Joe Murdock and sound design is by Tyler Payne. Technical director is Tim Doyle and Morgan Leigh Beach is the stage manager.

All performances are held in the Brownlee Auditorium of the Granville Arts Center, 300 North Fifth Street in downtown Garland.
