Harmony Public Schools to donate 3D face shields to city

Apr. 28, 2020

Harmony Public Schools across Greater Dallas/Fort Worth continues working to help provide desperately-needed medical supplies for health care workers in our communities.

Working from home, teachers are using their own 3D printers (and printers on loan from Harmony) to build medical-grade face shields. Once printed, the shields are assembled together. On Wednesday, April 29, educators from Harmony Science Academy-Garland will donate 100 face shields to city of Garland firefighters and Mayor Scott LeMay.

Wednesday’s donation brings the total of donated face shields to more than 450 and includes donations made to Denton County Emergency Services and Tarrant County Public Health.

If members of the community would like to help with donations of raw plastic materials or funds to buy them so that Harmony Public Schools may continue fabricating 3D face shields for health care workers in our communities, visit https://Harmonytx.org/donate-covid19.
