Hope Clinic earns Gold Rating from NAFC Quality Standards Program

Garland’s Hope Clinic is proud to announce that they recently qualified for a NAFC 2024 Standards Gold Rating. 
The mission of the National Association of Free and Charitable Clinics is to ensure the medically underserved have access to affordable healthcare. The NAFC and its members are dedicated to ensuring that patients receive quality healthcare. Therefore, to quantify and qualify the care provided at the Free and Charitable Clinic network, the NAFC formalized a set of Quality Standards for member organizations.
These standards allow to organization to showcase the quality care provided to our patients to policymakers, partners, funders and stakeholders. Additionally, the standards assist the NAFC in developing benefits and resources that will help our members enhance the care you provide to patients.
The National Association of Free and Charitable Clinic’s mission is building healthy communities for all through quality, equitable, accessible healthcare.
NAFC Quality Standards elements include policies and procedures related to the following areas: Administrative, Clinic/Pharmacy Responsibilities, Credentialing and Privileging Systems, Patient Care, and Risk Management Systems.

In-Office Medical Services – Physicians, nurses, and volunteer health care professionals of Hope Clinic give unselfishly of their time to provide a high level of quality services to the poor and uninsured residents of Dallas County. Our desire is to partner with patients in their healthcare journey towards wellness. Patient education is a key priority in healthcare management. Telehealth Services – Sometimes, patients suffer from issues that can be dealt with through our telehealth services. Without ever leaving their home, patients can speak face-to-face with their doctor using a computer or smartphone. Many medical issues can be dealt with through our telehealth services. These are the same doctors that patients see in our clinic. Telehealth services must be scheduled in advance. Behavioral Health Services – Our Licensed Clinical Social Worker provides emotional support and assists with identifying and practicing healthy ways of dealing with some of life’s biggest challenges. Services are free of charge to our patients and are available by phone, secure video, or in person.
