The District 9-6A girls and boys high school basketball playoffs have begun. The boys’ teams will compete in the bi-district round Monday, Feb. 20, and Tuesday, Feb. 21.
The schedule is below:
- Sachse Mustangs against Mesquite Horn High School at 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 20 at Richardson Berkner High School.
- Naaman Forest Rangers against Rockwall High School at 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 20 at Mesquite Poteet High School.
- Wylie Pirates against Royse City High School at 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 20 at Lovejoy High School.
- Rowlett Eagles against Rockwall-Heath High School at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21 at Mesquite Poteet High School.
The girls’ bi-district round of playoffs follows:
- Sachse Lady Mustangs 37 – North Forney Hig School 28
- Wylie Lady Pirates 39 – Mesquite Horn High School 44
- Wylie East Lady Raiders 50 – Rockwall High School 54
- Rowlett Lady Eagles 33 – Royse City High School 57
The Sachse Lady Mustangs was the only District 9-6A girls’ team to advance in the playoffs. They then defeated Waco Midway High School by a final score of 62-46 in the area round Monday, Feb. 13.
The Lady Mustangs will play Cedar Hill High School Monday, Feb. 20 at 6:30 p.m. at Mesquite High School.
