The Garland Owls and Sachse Mustangs suffered heartbreaking losses in the HS bi-district round of the playoffs Friday Nov. 10.
North Forney HS 28 – Garland Owls 21
The Owls lost to North Forney High School in overtime Friday at Mesquite Memorial Stadium. GHS quarterback Orlando Routt finished the game at 12-21 for 82 yards. De’Adrian Hardy rushed for 156 yards and scored one touchdown. Jayden Norwood also scored a rushing TD. Zalen Reynolds recovered a fumble and ran the ball 95 yards for an Owls touchdown.
Rockwall Heath HS 56 – Sachse Mustangs 42
Sachse Mustangs’ quarterback Brenden George ended the game at 21-33 for 265 yards and three TDs. Kaliq Lockett caught all three TD passes and collected 206 yards on 10 catches. Brendon Haygood carried the ball 28 times for 220 yards and a touchdown. Brenden George and Chase Thomas also scored rushing TDs.
