Week 10 of the high school football season ended with victories for Sachse HS, Wylie HS, Wylie East HS and Rowlett HS.
Sachse Mustangs 30 – Naaman Forest Rangers 7
The Mustangs got a win over the Rangers Thursday, Oct. 31. The score was 30-7. SHS quarterback Dirk Williams completed 12 of 19 pass attempts for 135 yards and a touchdown that was caught by Santana Quinn. Williams also scored a rushing TD. Brendon Haygood and Josh Ridge also rushed for scores. Haygood had 18 carries for 169 yards. Kicker John Weston added a 44-yard field goal. The coaches recognized Brendon Haygood as offensive MVP, Santana Quinn for offensive skill and Aidan Pierce offensive lineman. The coaches named Vashon Brunswick as defensive MVP, Aidan Sharp for defensive skill and Corey Walls and Trason Haley on the defensive front 7. Kicker Josh Weston was recognized on special teams.
NFHS quarterback DeAngelo Perales passed for 122 yards and one touchdown that was caught by Braylon Deal.
Wylie East Raiders 66 – Garland Owls 10
The Raiders defeated the Owls Friday, Nov. 1. GHS quarterback Carlos Mojica threw for one touchdown that was caught by Saint Dickens. The Owls’ kicker added a field goal.
Wylie Pirates 42 – Lakeview Centennial Patriots 14
The Patriots lost to the Wylie Pirates 42-14 Friday, Nov. 1. LCHS quarterback Kendrick Sanders threw for 244 yards and two touchdowns. The TD passes were caught by Julius Spencer and Trenton Harris.
Rowlett Eagles 20 – North Garland Raiders 6
The Eagles defeated the Raiders 20-6 Friday, Nov. 1. It was homecoming night for Rowlett HS and they got a win to celebrate. The Eagles got 306 yards on the game, 159 in the air and 147 rushing.
The Raiders put up 148 yards, 77 in the air and 71 on the ground.
