ICON Meals, a Dallas-based leading meal delivery service, donated over 150 nutritious meals, high protein snacks and branded apparel to Guns & Hoses-North Texas, a local nonprofit providing assistance to families of fallen officers and firefighters who were killed in the line of duty. The donation launched a partnership between ICON Meals, Guns & Hoses and the Garland Police Boxing Gym, the fourth largest boxing gym in the country.
Since 1995, volunteer-led Garland Police Boxing Gym, currently serving over 150 kids, has provided a safe after-school youth program delivering purpose, self-discipline, healthy competition and a sense of belonging for at-risk youth. ICON Meals champions their commitment to these young athletes through a multifaceted partnership that includes a premier sponsorship for a South Garland High School senior as he begins training for national-level competitions. The athlete is set to receive customized meals to support his nutritional needs as he prepares for these competitions, compliments of ICON Meals.
