The result from the Code Compliance Department’s annual inspection of multifamily properties in Garland, the 2023 Multifamily Score Card, is now available.
The exterior of every building and a percentage of interiors are included in the annual inspections in an effort to identify any housing standards issues that could affect the health and safety of the residents. Those scores, plus any additional violations that occurred as a result of complaint inspections, are totaled and represented on the Multifamily Score Card.
A breakdown of the number of violations found over the year, divided by the total of units, makes up a “total number of violations per unit” count for each property.
The 2023 Multifamily Score Card can be found in a list or on an interactive map. Both are available through the Code Compliance page on the City website.
