Kraft Heinz-Garland is excited to announce new initiatives to further establish itself as an employer of choice and flagship factory in the Garland and greater North Texas community through exciting new programs, higher wages, and new renovations to the building. They are working to create a multi-function manufacturing campus and hope to extend our historic employment in the community.
“As we continue our improvements to the facility, we hope to make those career connections with millennials and Gen-Z. The manufacturing industry has changed so much, and we hope to prove why younger generations should see employment at Kraft Heinz as a fair and equitable option.” plant manager Hadi Daneshyar said. “We want younger generations to understand how we’ve turned the notoriously dark and gloomy factory and transformed it into a bright and colorful career path. At Kraft Heinz in Garland, we have established an environment focused on retaining talent for career growth, not limited to just manufacturing but opening doors for our company with these new initiatives. We are the stepping stone for the community.” he continued.
Renovations to the plant include a fully furnished, all-access gym to refocus the workplace’s value on health and convenience for its employees. The company will continue to provide multiple services including an on-site masseuse, annual salary increases, referral bonuses, quarterly awards, and more. Looking ahead, the plant intends on mass renovations to their staff cafeteria with hired chefs, flexible schedules, and more. Plans for this plant seek to establish a modern campus-style work environment modeled after enriching workplaces like that of Dell or Google.
In addition to these innovative new installments, Kraft Heinz has also raised wages to $15.00 an hour, on average, as part of our ongoing effort to pay a fair and consistent salary. In this continued initiative, Kraft Heinz is also providing a $1,000 sign-on bonus to all part-time employees who work with us (paid over 90 days) and a $1,000 referral bonus to maintain our focus on community enrichment.
Having a deeply rooted connection to the Garland community, these initiatives seek to further uplift all people in the area with not only employment opportunities, but by giving back to the area. As a higher initiative, Kraft Heinz as a company is to donate 1 billion meals by 2025. The company also continues to partner with local community-based groups to provide resources, employment information, and more. Throughout the summer, Kraft Heinz-Garland has sponsored and partnered with educational apprenticeship FAME Program, the Garland Chamber of Commerce and the Garland Community College, as well as local churches. These range from non-profits, veteran groups, educational institution partnerships, and so much more!
