This week of Garland ISD high school football ended with wins for the Rowlett Eagles and Lakeview Centennial Patriots. See the standings at the end of this article.
Rowlett Eagles defeat Sachse Mustangs
The Eagles got a 35-33 win over the Mustangs Thursday, Oct. 29, at Homer B. Johnson Stadium. RHS quarterback Tre Carr connected with Ernest Thomas, Caleb Stiggers-Blair and Hector Soto for touchdowns. Carr also scored a rushing TD and D’Wonyee Newton added a score as well.
Carr ended the night at 11-23 with 243 yards and one interception. Thomas caught five passes for 121 yards.
The Mustangs’ quarterback, Alex Orji, connected with Elijah Aimes, Jagger Roland and Jhett Creel for TDs and scored two touchdowns on the ground. Orji ended the game at 18-32 for 232 yards and ran the ball 15 times for 125 yards.

Patriots defeat Wylie HS
The Lakeview Centennial Patriots got a 42-21 win over the Wylie Pirates at Wylie Stadium Friday, Oct. 30.
LCHS quarterback Michael Hierro threw for 240 yards and two TDs, one to Jalen Davis and the other to Cambryn Jones. Camar Wheaton added three rushing scores and carried the ball 12 times for 147 yards. Jack Dustin also added a rushing touchdown.
