All underground engineering issues have been resolved and the city of Garland is happy to report the demolition of 1002 Marion Drive (former Las Brisas property) is complete! Thank you for your patience during this longer than anticipated phase of the project.
In the coming weeks and months the consultants, Kimley-Horn, will be sharing research findings and resident input. K-H said the feedback from the neighborhood has been an overwhelming success with a record number of responses and great ideas.
K-H is currently developing several design concepts to make the best use of the 1.86 acres and your input is guiding this process. Once complete, they will share these ideas for your review.
As we transition into fall weather, the former Las Brisas site will be covered with grass sod and temporary irrigation to allow the space to be usable until more permanent plans are developed.
