A tennis team from Garland recently finished third at the USTA 40 & Over 7.0 Mixed League National Championships, which was held at the Surprise Tennis & Racquet Complex in Surprise, Ariz., Nov. 19-22.
The team was captained by Alan Abbruzzese (Dallas) and made up of Mike Zackary (Irving), Weezie Margolis (Dallas), Greg Wiley (Magnolia), Michelle Coates (Garland), Patrick Kint (Garland), Louise Kwong Hing (Plano), Doug Mauldin (Wylie), Sarah Montgomery (Richardson), Mike Pearson (Garland) and Wendy Blair Woodward (Plano).
