A man was arrested early Friday, March 27, after a chase that began in Garland in the Jupiter Road IH-635 area when a Garland police officer attempted to stop him for a traffic violation.
The motorcycle fled west on IH-635 to Central Expressway where he turned south then exited onto Mockingbird Lane. The motorcycle wrecked near the SMU campus and the driver, identified as Charles Cottrill, 39, was taken into custody after a short foot chase.
Cottrill is charged with Evading, Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Marijuana and Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon. Bond has not yet been set.
