Just before 8:30 p.m., Jan. 19, Garland police officers responded to a family disturbance in the 2800 block of Country Club Parkway. Upon arrival, officers and paramedics found 39-year-old Jared Sandifer unconscious on the floor inside the residence. Sandifer was transported to Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Garland where he was later pronounced dead.
Police believe there was a physical altercation between Sandifer, his mother, and stepfather. The investigation is ongoing and detectives are working with the Dallas County Medical Examiner to determine the cause of death. No arrests have been made at this time.
