Local home service company Milestone has organized a four-day recognition celebration for Garland’s first responders Sept. 8-11. Scotty P’s at Firewheel Town Center is partnering with Milestone. This is the third consecutive ‘First Responders Week’ where the two businesses have partnered to provide lunch for our first responders.
“From all of us at Milestone, thank you Garland First Responders for all you do,” said Britton Swanson, the company’s public relations coordinator. “Treating you all to lunch is just a small gesture in comparison to all you all do every day for others.”
Swanson also said that it’s special to see the Milestone team members step-up to volunteer. More than 40 Milestone employees passed out T-shirts, helped clean tables and delivered food to all of the Garland fire stations for first responders who couldn’t attend.
Scotty P’s is always so excited to host this event and seeing the smiles on the faces of the first responders is great.
