Monday, March 9, just after 4 p.m., Garland Police Department patrol officers were dispatched to the 300 block of West I-30 where a victim had located his stolen motorcycle. Officers arrived at the location and observed a person on a motorcycle in the parking lot. An officer attempted to speak with the individual but the driver rode away, leading the officer in a vehicle pursuit.
The Department of Public Safety helicopter joined the pursuit, located the motorcycle and followed it until the driver stopped in the 5200 block of Stagecoach Drive in Garland. The driver fled on foot but was apprehended after a short foot pursuit.
The suspect was identified as 20-year-old Trejohn Caston of Mesquite. He is charged with Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle and Evading Arrest in a Vehicle.
