Janie Cannon Jesmer was born in Enid, Oklahoma. She moved to Dallas in her teens and graduated from Crozier Tech High School in Dallas. Janie married Bernie Jesmer in 1964. She was blessed with children Craig and Heather, as well as Bernie’s daughter Shannon. The Jesmers moved to Garland in 1968.
Janie was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 48 years, Bernie Jesmer; her parents, J. Lowell and Eldora Cannon of Dallas; brother J.L. Cannon of Billings, Montana; and sister Donna Grimes of Kansas.
She is survived by son Craig Jesmer and his wife, Lisa; daughter Heather Jesmer Miller and her husband Curt, and Shannon. Her greatest treasures were her grandchildren, Jeremy (Katie), Nicholas (Kelsey), Ben, Shannon, Sean (Sarah), Chase (Mackenzie), and Avery.
Janie was the best Mom and Mimi in the world.
Her funeral will be held on July 1, 2021, at 1:30 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Richardson.
