June 27, just after 2:00 a.m., Garland Police Department officers were made aware that a blue Kia Cadenza was recently stolen out of Richardson and the suspects may have been in the area of a motel in the 2300 block of South Jupiter Road in Garland.
Garland police began checking the area and observed the stolen Kia in the parking lot of the Racetrac in the 2600 block of South Jupiter Road. The officers attempted to make contact with the occupants but they fled in the vehicle leading officers in a vehicle pursuit.
The driver attempted to evade the police through Garland and into Dallas where the vehicle stopped in the 1500 block of Stevens Street. The occupants attempted to flee on foot, but with the assistance of the Dallas Police Department, Garland K-9 and Department of Public Safety helicopter the suspects were located and arrested.
The driver, 43-year-old Brian Graham, a resident of Canton, along with the passenger, 33-year-old Heather Luna, a resident of Garland, are currently in the Garland Detention Center.
Graham is charged with Evading in a Vehicle and Theft of Motor Vehicle. Luna is charged with Evading on Foot.
