Garland announced its participation in the North Texas Community Cleanup Challenge at the March 5 City Council meeting.
This friendly competition among North Texas cities runs through May 31, challenging communities to pick up the most litter per resident. With support from Garland’s growing volunteer force and dedicated volunteer groups including Keep Garland Beautiful, Preservation Society of Spring Creek Forest, Skatepark Respect, Dallas Off Road Bicycle Association and the Abigail Parker Memorial Fund, together we can bring the trophy to Garland!
If you collect litter between now and May 31, record your impact! Volunteer groups, churches, neighborhoods, scouts, city departments or someone just out taking a walk … it counts!
You can access the Garland Challenge Log online. For more information, contact Volunteer Coordinator Nancy Tunell at Volunteer@GarlandTX.gov.
