Garland Police Department detectives obtained warrants for two suspects involved in the murder of Larry Donnell Smith, Jr. at the Richland Apartments.
The United States Marshalls North Texas Fugitive Task Force and the Garland Gang Unit located and arrested 40-year-old Deshon Lampkins and 39-year-old Jameel Moffett of Dallas. Lampkins was arrested in an apartment community in the 4700 block of Galloway in Mesquite and Moffett was arrested in the 500 block of Easton Road in Dallas.
Lampkins and Moffett are both charged with murder and are currently in the Garland Detention Center. No bond has been set.
The investigation is still ongoing. Detectives believe there may be a third suspect.
